LEAK // KELLY ROWLAND & DA BRAT SO SO DEF REMIX "MOTIVATION"

After the lackluster success of would-be double lead singles "Rose Colored Glasses" and "Grown Ass Woman", both of whom stalled on radio (Pop and Urban respectively), Destiny's Child Kelly Rowland has finally made a worthy comeback to the US Billboard Hot 100 with her slinky sex jam "Motivation", the new lead single lifted from her third solo album (due out later this year). She has been away for a long time - her only noticeable solo hits in America being 2002's "Stole" and 2007's "Like This" - an outrage considering her talent, beauty and previous chart success with Destiny's Child.

Featuring Lil Wayne, the song has been storming up the charts and is set to top the Billboard R&B chart soon. Most impressively for an urban song with minimal play on Pop radio, the song has been a consistent digital seller. Today it reached a new peak of #28 on US iTunes and almost 35 million audience impressions on American radio, guaranteeing it a new peak on the next Hot 100 chart.

Recently released from prison, rap legend and Mariah Carey BFF Da Brat has put out her "So So Def" remix to the song. Needless to say, she more than does the banging track justice and absolutely murders her verse! Listen to the song below.

With her collaborations with Alex Gaudino and Run RK already making big waves in Europe, and collaborations with Pitbull (on "Castles Made of Sand") and Tinie Tempah (on "Invincible", already a hit overseas) rumored for US release, 2011 seems set to be Miss Kelly's year of domination.
